Yahoo! is an American search engine that takes its name from creatures in Jonathan Swift’s “Gulliver’s Travels”. Yahoo! France was launched in 1996.

  • It can be useful for keyword searches on French websites, but does not offer the same power or international bandwidth as a search engine as Google. Yahoo! is fighting back, and has teamed up with Microsoft in the hope of undermining the leader’s position.
