Widgets

A widget is a sort of gadget that gives you instant access to information (weather forecasts, news, dictionaries, road maps, reminders, translations, etc.) at the touch of a keypad. You no longer need to go through a navigator (such as Firefox) to access these services on the web. These widgets can be installed on your computer desktop or your blog.

  • Widgets are fun, and some of them are very practical, like the one that lets you translate any word into any language. You can call up this application on your desktop by typing a single key. For Macs, the new aluminium keyboards and new laptops have a DashBoard key (F4) and on the older ones you need to use F12.
