The home page of a website is the first one you open, giving you “entry” to the site. It will often contain a list of contents, latest news and some shortcuts.

  • Be aware that on social networking sites like Facebook, when your friends visit your profile what they see is, literally, a wall – your wall, which is not much of an introduction. On Facebook, your home page is a private page and not the one visible to your “friends”. That’s where you post messages, consult your friends’ status updates and view your invitations from Facebookers wanting to become your friends.
